So many amazing things happened with this - my beautiful cousin is turning one, we converted a living room into a studio - photos to follow - and we all got to eat Chai Spiced Pumpkin Cake, made by yours truly, for breakfast! Oh, and I actually remembered to take photos of the setup AND remembered to blog. So, overall this seems like a huge win for me!
What I should have taken a photo of was all the gear I brought into my poor cousin's home, but hey - results!
Portable backdrop sets are actually pretty affordable, I got mine for super cheap on Groupon with my soft box lights for under $100. The backdrop is simply white photography paper, which I cannot stress enough for this. I have tried white muslin backdrop cloth and no amount of ironing and steaming ensures a wrinkle free look. Bring in the paper and you not only can toss it after, but the girls used some scraps for coloring - another win!
The wreath was borrowed from my mom, which was a Salvation Army find, and we hung it with 80 pound heavy duty fishing line.
I am also thrilled to incorporate my other love of food into this session, by making this super cute wintery cake... to be destroyed!
And of course, to top it all off, winter-y cake smash photos of the beyond cute birthday girl, Corey!
